Meh. Nothing to report today. I really don't feel like going to work, it's so beautiful outside but it would be such a wuss move to call out , especially since I have the next four days off. To move. All my crap. Into the new house. FOR REALS. I should have had this done weeks ago. Blah.
As soon as I am in the new house, I can lay on the deck and sunbathe or spend an evening in a bubbly hot tub, or wrestle around with my puppy I don't have yet. As soon as we're settled I'm going to get a doggie. There's a pen outside and I haven't decided if it's going to be an inside or outside doggie but I definitely want one. I want one that's small enough to take with me when I travel, but I don't think I'll be able to keep up with the shedding and grooming of my first choice...a little Yorkie. They're so freaking cute!! I have done research on lots of different kinds of dogs to get and I have learned that you shouldn't choose your pet based on how cute it is. David wants to get a dog too so they can be best buds , but he's gone all the time so I'd have two dogs to take care of and if I went anywhere, I'd only be able to carry on one at a time. We could babysit each other's dogs while we traveled I guess but that would mean I'd have pretty much two dogs all the time since Mister Transatlantic's job is to be gone. I think maybe my doggie to be does not need a best friend besides me.
Here are the reasons I want a dog:
1) I want something to love and pet and hold and snuggle because I am lonely and my kids dont like snuggles that much anymore and I am never getting married or having kids again. So that is the only logical choice. A dog.
2) I miss Gatsby my perfect Beagle
Here are some reasons I should not have a dog:
1) I travel alot
2) They bark
3) They poop
4) They pee
5) I might get a mean one
6) I might get all crazy and make it one of my kids
7) I miss Gatsby my perfect Beagle
8) What if it runs away and I will forever wonder what happened to it. That would be awful
I suppose I need to work longer on my list of reasons to get one. I would like to go look at the pound puppies again. Problem is, I will fall in love with one on the first visit. I always do.
David is so nice, he knows I really want a puppy and he doesn't really know how to kind of halfway do things. He's been pretty lonely, pretty much forever and having someone to (dare I say, babysit?) such as myself is helpful for him because he feels needed and appreciated. What do you want, Princess? Pick one! And there it is.
So I have to be careful saying I want things because then he'll start strategizing on how to get them and since we have a nice healthy friendship with access to hugs and emergency tear drying, rather than a romantic-type thing, I dont want him to buy me things - - it's awkward and there is some kind of ownership that trades places when someone is consistently showered with gifts. One bad day, and the gifter can't believe AFTER ALL THEY DID, YOU DID WHAT??? Yeah, rather not.
Ha - If I wanted a Sugar Daddy the airport is a playground, full of businessmen rolling in the dough that would never miss it. An Airline Pilot? Ha. Good thing I am not like that. Julia Roberts was such a Princess in Pretty Woman and it was a charming little tale, but wasn't she still a prostitute? I dont want to be Pretty Woman. I just want a good healthy stable life....I think there is one up for grabs right now. A best friend. How refreshing. Even Dondi likes David. He's just a good person. I'm proud of him and I'd like to claim I help him too. We help each other.
My hope is that I can capitalize on one of my brilliant ideas one day and get my own money and buy myself whatever I want. It's the hugs and snuggles I get addicted to. Those can get you into trouble. There is another addition to the pro list of puppies. The doggie will not get me into trouble. Whether I go to a pound or let David take me to go pick one out at a breeder, I know I'll fall in love with something on the first visit. GRR!!! Better go to the pound first.
As soon as I get moved!!!! Puppy time!!!
Yay!!

A free to good home lab mix is about the best dog you can have.(but they don't fit well in the cabin). They do love hugs and cuddles though.
